 This was a fantastic match played by two very good Oxon Senior premier league teams.

Bletchingdon raced into a two goal lead with goals from the outstanding Mark Gaul and Richard Wells who scored with a brilliant header from Andy McMahons cross. This was Wells first game for 3 years at Bletchingdon and he showed what a superb competitor he is with an all action performance. Stonesfield scored twice with “Basil Fawlty” lookalike Micheal Bateman latching onto two defensive lapses.

The second half saw another 45 minutes of riveting football which was eventually settled by Bletchingdon’s Mark Gaul. Bletchingdon sent on Matty Holton late on and the part time Versace model almost extended the winning margin put kicked the ground when well placed.
