Launton: Adam Dawe, Nick Neal

Bletch: Danny Bone, Andy McMahon

This was a keenly contested local derby which was switched to Bletchingdon after Launton’s pitch was deemed unfit.

The first half was dominated by Bletchingdon and Andy McMahon opened the scoring after great build up play from Adam Wells, Murray Nicholls and Danny Bone. Bletch were playing some fantastic football at this stage. However Launton were always dangerous on the break and following a host of missed chances from Bletchingdon, Adam Dawe equalised with for Launton with a very well taken volley.

The second half started very much the same as the first and further chances were missed by both sides before Danny Bone lobbed the Launton goalie following a magnificent through ball from Todd Parker Hunt. The last twenty minutes saw Launton have their best spell of the match and with ten minutes to go, equalised through Nick Neal. Launton could have gone on and won it after that but missed a couple of late chances. Nick Lacey saved well from one shot in the Bletchingdon goal. In injury time, Bletchingdon’s Murray Nicholls was sent off for his protests after the last of many offside decisions from the Launton linesman.
