OUP: Craig McMahon, Matt Spooner, Nolan Aselford

On a beautiful afternoon at Jordan hill an attractive game was played between OUP and Eynsham Reserves. The first 20 mins was played at the home sides tempo, moving the ball around beautifully with Humm and McMahon in OUPs midfield controlling the play. After 12 minutes it was McMahon that broke the deadlock slotting home after neat interplay in the final third. 8 minutes later Spooner made it 2 with a 25 yard screamer in the top corner. The second goal woke Eynsham up and they had a couple of gilt edge chances before the break with Greenough in the OUP goal keeping them at bay. Ht 2-0.

The second half started as the first finished with Eynsham pressing. Eventually OUP found their feet and the first real play of the half resulted in Aselford finishing neatly in to the roof of the net. After this the sun played its part and both sides were feeling it oup made the most of possession keeping the ball without troubling the goal. Eynshams cause was not helped when they were reduced to 10 men through injury. The game was played in the correct spirit and for the second week running the official was excellent.
