Horspath Reserves  2    Broughton & NN Reserves  2

Saturday, 15 September 2012

This saturday brought about Horspaths first home game, in fact it
Brought Broughton & North Newington Reserves.  After a convincing demolition the week before Horspath wanted to play
in the same vein, confident, passing and attacking. As a result, in which the pitch played a part (no pressed steel, but not at all bad), a decent game of football on the deck followed. Horspath looking more like scoring but B & N N always poising a
threat. The better team did open the scoring thru Darren Grey, a fine strike for the ginger man from Swindon. It was the kick that B & N N needed, they started playing football.  After the break B & N N started to flow, scoring twice thru the no. 9
& no.7. This time it was the kick that Horspath needed, Ben Beresford  picking up the ball just within his own half, quickly hitting his stride and venturing past two. The resultant one two with Daniel Normington was the normal affair, Normington refusing to return the 1 to the 2 instead turning and scuffing a shot into the far corner. And so it ended, a fair result to a decent game of football.
