Oakley: Chris Davies 2, Alex Woodfine,
North Oxford: Max Palmer

On a very hot sunny day down at the Durnabau in Oakley, North Oxford were sent home with their tails between their legs after a heavy 9-1 defeat. Oakley still smarting after their poor performance over at Eynsham were quick out of the blocks and within 10 mins were 2-0 up, Goals from the prolific Chris Davies and Alex Woodfine shocked the away side, however Oakley continued to show their lack of confidence defensively and a relatively simple long ball was not dealt with,
reaching the North Oxford striker Max Palmer, who lobbed the oncoming Durndell with ease. Oakley responded in the right manner and with MOM Keeble running the midfield it wasnt long till more goals arrived - Parrack guided the ball over the keeper with a great header for his first after a delightful Woodfine cross, Woodfine again the architect 5 minutes later as he again delivered, this time to Davies who controlled the ball first time dummied the defender and slotted home for his
second. Oakley were now running riot and although not quite upto the standards of pre-season were in complete control, A great run from Sackey and finish added a fifth and a OG rounded up the first half scoring at 6-1.

Second half was much of the same as North Oxford tired and Oakley added 3 more to there total, Keeble grabbing 2 and Woodfine completing the scoring with a tidy finish from an acute angle for his second. So Oakley winning 9-1 and there season is now underway, North Oxford will certainly improve and should not be too disheartened as thay have some
good players and never gave up.
