Chalgrove FC picked up their first win in the Oxfordshire Senior League with a hard fought win at home to Eynsham. The hosts started brightly and took the lead when a handball by an Eynsham defender allowed Simon Godfrey to score from the spot and put Chalgrove 1-0 up. Chalgrove then went 2-0 up not long after when a counter attack from the home side saw Nick Skiller head home a cross to put daylight between the two teams. Eynsham came back strongly and were enjoying a lot of possession when a mix-up between the Chalgrove back-four allowed Tom Mcudden to slot home from close range.
The second half saw both sides have chances, with Eynsham perhaps having the better of the chances but Chalgrove defended well and held out for an excellent win.
