Adderbury Park took all three points in this closely-fought season opener against a well organised Horspath. The home team thought they had opened the scoring well into the first half, only to have their goal ruled offside. Half time 0-0. Adderbury created more chances after the restart, but were unable to capitalise with a goal until John Danby netted with a powerfully struck effort 20 minutes into the second half.

Horspath didn’t give up, and tried hard to get themselves onto the scoresheet. Adderbury defended well, however, and the game ended without further goals.
