The first game of the season at Eynsham playing fields was always going to be interesting against a lively Oakley side.
The first half started off even, with both side creating chances but as the half went on Eynsham dominated the game and scored good goals through patient build up to lead 4-1 at half time.

The second half stated and Oakley came out of the blocks quickly with the Eynsham players think it was just all over! Oalkey score to make it 4-2 which fired them up to keep pushing for more goals. Then the ref made a decision to send off a Eynsham defender for obstruction claiming he was stopping a clear goal scoring opportunity. Oakley were now in control with Eynsham playing on the break and nearly scored a couple of times. There was a incident off the ball and a few hand bag pushes were thrown around but the ref deemed that two players should be sent off one from each side. The game ended 4-4 with Oakley trying for the winner, which they would have got if It wasn't for the keeping of Gareth in the Eynsham goal.
