Kennington United Res 2, Enstone Res 0

Ken: Olly Stone, Jack Smith

After a well grounded out result against Charlton & Otmoor, a better performance was needed for Kennington but with a similar result. And thats exactly what Kennington did. With no outstanding individual performances last week, there was not one player that didnt put in a great shift on a very warm Saturday afternoon in October. From the 1st whistle Kennington managed to get the ball down and play some good passing football. in the 20th minute some good play from Ben on the right wing put in a good cross which caused alot of problems for Enstone. The ball fell to Olly Stone who volleyed into the roof of the corner. 1-0. From the first goal Enstone didn't really look like getting back into the game and with Kennington creating alot of chances throughtout the first half , it was inevitable that they were going to score again and 10 minutes before half time, Olly Stone pulled the ball back to the edge of the box were skipper Jack Smith was running in on the ball and struck it straight into the bottom corner! 2-0.
Going out into the second half Enstone just couldn't get the ball down with Jack Smith and Stuart Dunham breaking down play well in the middle of the park. Kennington created alot more chances but were unable to put them away but in the end the result and performance was much improved on the week before.
