A share of the points was probably the right result in a hard fought  match between Eynsham Res. And Stonesfield Res. Eynsham started the stronger and only some fine goalkeeping from Mick Phipps in the Stonesfield goal thwarted the dangerous Tom Pickett twice on his first senior start. Stonesfield broke the deadlock with a fine strike from 25 yards by Ben Thomas giving the Eynsham keeper no chance, Eynsham stuck in and were rewarded when the ball fell kindly to Olley Page after a challenge for the ball with keeper and he slotted home 1-1 at half time. The second half was very even with both sides having chances, the best right at the death to Stonesfield who were only denied by a fine save by Eynsham keeper James Maton.
