Fritwell Reserves      Oakley Reserves

Saturday, 06 December 2008

After 3 weeks off, Fritwell Reserves showed there full potential to climb the table with a heavy win against a high flying Oakley Res. The game kicked of with little between each team, and possession was split. it was David Iglis who first got on the score sheet, latching on to a well placed through ball from winger Jim Mitcell which split the Oakley
defence. Mark Shaw followed up soon after, receiving the ball on the edge of the box to powerfully fire the ball into the bottom corner of the Oakley goal.
Fritwell pushed out the stronger side in the second half, countering and creating many chances on the Oakley goal. Iglis claimed his second goal of the game, soon followed by Mark Shaw doubling his tally. Iglis soon fired home his hattrick, with a sublime chip over the Oakley keeper who stood no chance. Oakley replied with a goal from Adam Pike after Fritwell failed to clear the ball. Fritwells Tom Honour rounded up the game with a goal in the last minutes placing the ball past the keeper.
