What a cracking game with 2 sets of players going hammer and tongs for 90 minutes and not a booking in site, a 3 goal lead lost and controversy in the last minute.
10 minutes in and a mistake at the back let in John Webb who hit a cracking shot into the bottom corner. Bletch pressed hard but were caught on the counter attack when Andrew Wilson made it 2 nil. Bletch stilled pressed and missed a couple of good chances and again another break saw Wilson find the net 5 minutes before half time. The home side were then thrown a lifeline following a great cross from Ady East Joel Thomas nodded in with a minute to go before the half time whistle. 1-3 halftime.
With 2 substitutions made at half time Bletch came out up for the fight. But it took 15mins and a Nick East penalty to get Bletch going . Then with 15mins to go following a scramble in the Yarnton 6 yard box that wily old fox in the box Nick "Fernando" East toe poked home the equalizer. Game on!! the controversy came in the last minute when Nick East on for his hatrick got the ball over the line only for the "goal " not to be given. But some you win some you dont.
