Stonesfield  2    Chadlington  0

Saturday, 29 November 2008

After a fairly even first half with few chances created by either side it was Stonesfield who took control of the second half looking to break down a good Chadlington side. The breakthrough came in the 70th minute when the ball found its way to Jordon on the edge of the box who steered the ball home giving the Chad keeper no chance. Confidence flowed through the Stonesfield team with Tarry going close on 2 occasions and Knight hitting a long range effort which Heritage saved well. The second came 10 minutes from ,a long free kick from Knight evaded everybody in the Chad defence and Tarry was first to react rounding Heritage and slotting the ball home. A good win for Stonesfield that saw them gain revenge from the early season defeat by Chad, and a game well refereed on a bitterly cold day.
