This was an excellent game of football with both sides openly attacking throughout the game. Swindon opened the scoring with a lob into the area that crept into the net despite the efforts of Hannah PHILLIPS in keeping it out. Just before half time Oxford equalised following a free kick that was parried by the Swindon goalkeeper allowing Sorcha MURPHY to score.
Half time 1 - 1
The second half was only a few minutes old when Swindon grabbed their second goal following a corner. Oxford pressed forward and equalised therough Anna CARSON-PARKER before taking the lead through the same player. Oxford clinched the match with a fine header from Bobbie McDONALD following a corner.
Oxford defence and goalkeeper held firm to deny Swindon any more goals for a fine result.
