A goal 25 minutes from time from leading scorer Lance Cray gave Coleford the victory that their determined play deserved in a match that never reached any great heights. Play was always competitive but never dirty, both sides battled hard but the extra quality in the Coleford side always seemed likely to produce the one goal that was always going to be enough to win the match.
In the closing minutes Bigden pulled off an excellent save to fend off the possibility of extra time. Both forwards Dan Welch and Lance Cray worked tirelessly all afternoon as the club move into the last four of the competition. The tremendous travelling support also helped with over 40 Athletic supporters making the long trip to the Devon border.
