The Jeff Nardin Division
Heston Sporting Clube De Stanmore
Saturday, 21 October 2023
The match from Saturday 21st October 2023 against Heston in the Jeff Nardin division that was referred to discipline, was heard on Monday night at the discipline meeting,
The committee took on board all the evidence and came to conclusion that the match would be awarded as you failed to field a team and a fine imposed for that.
A few keys points from the committee,
- there is currently no in date guidance on covid in football and how it should be dealt with, almost all facets of covid have deemed that it is now part of every day life and it isn’t essential to isolate.
- There is no way of proving when and who took the tests, without a doctors note or nhs registering of the tests.
- You have 19 registered players and by the Friday you could of fielded a team based on what you said, obviously not taking into account who would have been available regardless of covid and additional you have the capability of making signings in advance of the game including on the day signings to field a team
- The committee also didn’t want to set a precedent around covid and the postponement of games without it being something that fa had given guidance on.
