Sloane were 5 regular players down thanks to the Easter weekend through injury, holidays and personal commitments so they called on their reserves to fill the places. Sloane who needed a solid performance to keep their hopes for 2nd place alive started badly.

A first half performance to forget made their opponents, who were fighting against relegation, look good. It was thanks to two great reaction saves from Albert McCausland that kept it 0-0 at the break. Sloane came out of the blocks in the 2nd half and were better. Keeping possession, getting crosses in and putting pressure on the league strugglers.

To give respect to FC team they battled hard and sat deep to break up any Sloane attacking play. Hopeful chances were all that Sloane could create and they began to panic late on and over-commited players forward. This lead to a break away for FC Teams Man of the match, whos shot was initially stopped but got all the luck when the rebound fell into his path for a open goal in the 89min.

Sloane's hopes of automatic promotion now look very slight. Their failure to get what seemed like an easy 9pts from 3 games has left them looked at a possible 4th spot finish.

They will look for a better performance on 25th April where they meet FC Team again in Sloane's last and potentially decisive game of the season.
