Marsh Rangers  3    Wraysbury  6

Wednesday, 14 April 2004

This mid-week match against perhaps " Champions Elect " Wraysbury F.C. showed the difference in class as Wraysbury took early control . Marsh levelled in the first half when DAVID ALONSO scored but Wraysbury played some sweet football and regained the lead before halftime . This was added to early in the second half , and further goals followed to put Wraysbury 5 - 1 up .

Marsh then " rolled up their sleeves " and began a fight back . STEVE HAUGHEY scored twice to give the score some respectability but Wraysbury scored again near the end to press home their general advantage , and impressive play .

Marsh Rangers tried hard , and could not be faulted for effort , but Wraysbury showed them what is needed to be done , at this level , to be in contention for honours .
