Not a good Easter for Marsh Rangers . Having just beaten near top team Hanworth Villa away ,the DOUBLE , they played bottom club Mauritius Sports . Although a different team was fielded by Marsh , due to circumstances , it should have been good enough to give Mauritius a game ....... but on the whole it wasn't .
Although hitting the bar twice in the first half , and having a few shots cleared off the line ,Marsh went in 3 - 0 DOWN !!!!!! The second half saw a vast improvement and long range goals from JOHN MACKENZIE , & MICKEY TURTLE put Marsh back into the match . Marsh then showed their " ignorance of play " and continued attacking in a " gung ho " attack and now left large gaps at the back , which Mauritius skilfully exploited with their speed .
The final result of 5 - 2 probably flattered Mauritius , although
they certainly deserved to win over the 90 minutes . The match was also well Refereed .
