MAGICAL MANNING'S HAT TRICK LEADS RAMPANT RANGERS .

" Football is a game of two halves " , well this game certainly was . The first half saw an early goal from ROBERT MANNING separate the sides . He fired in a shot from the edge of the Hanworth area which whistled past the static keeper .Hanworth proved a difficult side to break down , and also tried to venture forward whenever possible .

Marsh always had the upper hand , although their superiority didn't show in goals . Rob Manning appeared to be clearly brought down in the Hanworth area but the free kick was awarded some yards outside the box.His free kick narrowly missed the near post . Adam Ashby & Caswell Quarrie prompted the front men , whilst Chris Ranson & Matthew Hoyle ran the midfield . Matthew Fletcher tormented the Hanworth defence with penetrating dribbles but still only the early goal separated the sides at half time .

Once again the Marsh manager , David Campbell , was not impressed and informed his players that " they must try harder " { or words to that effect !!!! } The second half was only moments old when ROBERT MANNING again fired in another unstoppable shot to double the Marsh lead .Further goals now followed all through the half as the Hanworth player's heads dropped .

MATTHEW HOYLE , not known for his goalscoring , rifled in not 1 but 2 ( two ) goals , and DAVID KEARNEY , also a rare goalscorer for Marsh , got on the score sheet with a powerdriver of a shot .CHRISTOPHER RANSON rose above everybody to head home , and then immediately left the field to applause from the spectators .

In defence Daren Brown and John Mackenzie , along with David Kearney , and later Scott Aley , totally dominated proceedings and Matthew Fletcher continued to turn the Hanworth defence inside out . SHAINE THOMSON continued his good run of scoring with another goal , and Tony Heath was able to make his first league appearance of the season after a long injury picked up during the close season friendlies . Robert Manning saw the keeper off his line and tried a speculative lob from 35 yards which the keeper just managed to get his fingertips to ." When your luck is out, it is out " and it certainly was for Hanworth today . On a rare occasion , they broke through the Marsh defence , managed to chip the advancing Mark Ferris in the Marsh goal , only to see the ball bounce and hit the crossbar .

A Hanworth forward followed up , before a defender could close him down , but slotted the ball wide of the empty goal . ROBERT MANNING then scored his hat trick . A pin point pass over 30 yards from John Mackenzie was brought down by Manning who fired the ball home in true "Steven Gerrard" style . MATTHEW FLETCHER decided not to be out done , and got his name on the score sheet . He collected the ball by the halfway line , fiercely contested a challenge before dribbling wide past two defenders and into the Hanworth area before unleashing a shot that the keeper hardly saw . Tony Heath came close to adding a tenth but his lack of match practice showed , and his shot went high over the bar . Marsh Rangers thoroughly deserved this victory and it could easily have been many more but for the brave efforts of the Hanworth keeper who did very little wrong .

The Man of the Match award went to ........ MATTHEW FLETCHER
