A thorough workmanlike performance by the visitors ensured the Hereford side went home with three points from a game that after the opening ten minutes the result was never in doubt. Peter Wallace could with a little slice of luck have scored five goals before half time to have effectively ended the contest.

The home side dominated the opening ten minutes before Pegasus settled into the game, on the quarter hour a cross from the right by Adriano Girolami found Wallace in space inside the penalty area, however, the striker just failed to make contact with ball. Five minutes later Steve Aubrey won the ball with a header on the half way line; his thirty-yard pass to Leigh Harris enabled the experienced player to cross to Wallace who drove the ball past the helpless Graham Savin. Girolami was causing the home side problems every time he was in possession, he sent over a free kick and Wallace thumped a flying header wide of the upright. Shortly afterwards a Girolami free kick caused more trouble for the home defence and only a double save by Savin prevented Harris and Keith Holman?s increasing the lead. In the 32nd minute a superb diagonal pass from Girolami found Laurence Helme in space at the far post, he headed the ball back across the goalkeeper for Wallace to double the lead. In the final minute before the interval John Moore found himself in space inside the penalty box but he was unable to convert the half chance.

Half Time: 2-0

The 2nd half saw the home side with more possession but their players never seriously tested the visiting goalkeeper who was superbly protected by his defenders. In the 76th minute Terry Green completed the scoring for the visitors after good work by Helme on the left led to Girolami driving the ball against a defender, Green was first to react and crashed the ball past a despondent Savin. Craig Blake grabbed a consolation goal for Bicester Town five minutes from time after a misunderstanding in the Pegasus defence.
