Pegasus produced a disappointing performance against Highworth Town who are pushing for a top three place in the Premier Division of the Cherry Red Records Hellenic League. Junior?s were justifiably punished although the score line does flatter the visitors.
Highworth took the lead on sixteen minutes when the home defence tried to set an offside trap that was sprung by Justin Miller who easily beat the advancing James Morgan. This early setback was the last thing Pegasus needed and twenty minutes later they conceded a free kick on the edge of the penalty area when Paul Day scored direct with the free kick.
Shortly after the break a defensive misunderstanding allowed Miller to bag his second goal of the afternoon, Day scored his second three minutes later. Pegasus strove to add some credibility to the score line and in so doing left gaps in defence and were punished by Day who completed his hat trick and Paul Belcher.
