Temple hits late winner for Gloucester double over Pewsey Vale.

After losing at home a few weeks ago Pewsey Vale failed to avenge their defeat in the return against Gloucester United. Pewsey got of to a great start when Liam Thompson opened the scoring on the seventh minute good play between Ross Anderson and Thompson a mix up between keeper and his defence gave Thompson the open net to slot home. Gloucester levelled ten minutes later the Vale midfield lost the ball and from a corner Matt Phillips headed home. Shortly after Anderson was denied by the keeper and on the 24th minute Adam Bennett the home keeper denied Barry Flippance following good play from Thompson and Andy Olsen. As the game progressed Pewsey Vale were having the best of the scoring chances but it was Gloucester who went ahead through Temple in the 41st minute but Pewsey bounced back to level through Anderson in the 44th minute.

Half Time 2 ? 2

Seven minutes into the second half the home side again took the lead through Tom Radcliffe but Craig Wall and Flippance, Thompson and Anderson, continued to pressurise the home defence but they were denied either by the keeper or the defence, or on occasions, their own poor finishing. In the 75th minute good work between Anderson and Thompson put the Vale back on level terms. Pewsey brought on Micky Goodwin for Olsen in the 80th minute but the winner for Gloucester came seven minutes from the end with a goal by Temple this was a game that the Vale should not have lost having had over 70% of the possession in the match.
