Deserved Victory for Wasps
On a near-perfect playing surface, Chalfont deservedly went ahead on 23 minutes when Marcus Fearon beat a defender and scored with a low shot. Letcombe equalised six minutes later, Robbie Fairchild lobbing the keeper from 25 yards, but Chalfont got back in front before half-time as Sam Woodward's free kick went in off the far post.
Paul Roberts should have equalised, but his low shot hit a post, and Chalfont made sure of the Division 1 East points when man-of-the-match Fearon bagged his second after a defensive mistake.
