Debut Double for Henry

Much-travelled striker Carl Henry marked his debut with two goals as Witney United made it three wins on the bounce with this victory at Headington in Division 1 West.

The visitors took the lead on six minutes when Scott Dash unleashed a powerful volley, and four minutes later, they went further ahead, Henry heading in Ryan McCullagh's pinpoint cross. Jason Maciak saw a point-blank header saved by Danny Clifford in the Witney goal, and Amateurs pulled a goal back after 32 minutes when the unmarked James Green headed in from a corner.

Headington should have levelled on 53 minutes when Steve Haynes conceded a penalty, but Gary Bastable's spot-kick was pushed wide by Clifford for a corner. This seemed to spur United on and in then 64th minute they made sure of the points when David Lawrence's cross was headed home by Henry.>
