Rogers back in charge as Pewsey hit late leveller.

Don Rogers was back at the helm of Pewsey Vale following a U-turn after his shock resignation at the end of October.

A good chance to go into the early lead fell to the Vale in the 4th minute. Tuffley keeper Richard Newman fumbled a free kick by Craig Wall but with no Pewsey player following up the ball was cleared away. A shock to the Vale came after eight minute when Micky Goodwin injured the same knee that have kept him out for a long time and was being replaced by midfielder Darren Tapper. Tuffley nearly caught the Vale defence napping but Gary Cornwall shot wide and again on the 22nd minute, Jon Corbett with only the keeper to beat shot well over the bar. A powerful free kick for Pewsey, by Mark Jordan was palmed away by Newman. Ross Anderson was unlucky having his shot go just wide of the far post on 32 minutes. Barry Flippance put Vale ahead in the 36th minute from a move that started in their own half. Nathan Holt took the ball forward and passed to Flippance who hit the cross bar but put the rebound ball into the net. The lead was short lived as Tuffley equalised in the last minute of the half when Mike Perris converted a penalty..

Half Time 1-1.

Pewsey went behind in the 58th minute when their visitors went into a deserved lead when Perris scored again. Vale again had a let off in the 75th minute when Adam Wainwright kicked the ball of the line. Tuffley?s keeper was having a great game and denied Anderson in the 85th minute after a perfect pass from Wall found him on the left side. The Vale came more alive during the final minutes but the keeper continued to deny then. Pewsey saved a point in the 89th minute when Andersons corner found defender Martin Churchward who rose high to head a deserved equaliser..
