The first ever meeting between the two sides at the Banbury United ground saw the visitors produce another disappointing performance in a game they were capable of winning.
Pegasus fashioned the brighter start and were fortunate not to have scored from a training ground corner kick routine, however, Hook countered using the long ball clearance tactic this caught the visiting defence square and Craig Pearman beat Kyle Waring with a shot from the edge of the penalty box. The visitors were stunned for a while but regained composure and pulled themselves back into the game with some neat passing football without seriously testing the home defence. On the stroke of half time the usual resolute Steve Aubrey mistimed a tackle inside the penalty box. Ben Speiro, a recent signing from Wantage Town, converted the spot kick. Two goals against the run of play was unjust reward for the young visiting side. A lack lustre performance in the second half allowed the home team to score three more goals and eventually they finished worthy winners.
