Didcot were pushed all the way before finally overcoming Bicester Town in the Preliminary Round of the Supplementary Cup. After battling out a 2-2 draw during normal time an extra time winner came courtesy of Matt Bianchini, his first goal of the season.
It was a game often bogged down in midfield and neither side was able to truly take control. Didcot probably deserved their half time lead though. A neat through ball from Paul Noble released in-form striker Ian Concannon and he made no mistake from the edge of the area.

In the 66th minute Bicester levelled through Bedford after Didcot keeper Jeff Simmonds misjudged a cross. Noble limped out of the action with an ankle problem and his replacement Fletcher Hoey restored the visitor?s lead with tem minutes remaining.Credit must go to Bicester and they hit back through Des O?Connor to send the game into extra time.
Full Time: 2-2
Just as the game looked to be going to penalties Hoey broke forward and found fellow substitute Bianchini who rattled the ball home via the far post.
