Chalfont eased into the next round of the Berks & Bucks Intermediate Cup with a comfortable victory over Iver Heath Rovers.
Wasps were forced to make a couple of changes due to suspension and illness and took some time to get into their stride. The visitors defended resolutely and most of the first half was very forgettable. Wasps opened the scoring on the stroke of halftime with Ray Fraser converting Steve Crook's clever pass.
Half Time: 1-0
The home side increased their lead in the 63rd minute when Fraser converted a penalty awarded for pushing in the box. Four minutes later Crook slammed the ball home after the visiting keeper could only parry a snap shot from Danny Spencer. The visitors were rewarded for their persistence when a penalty for a mistimed tackle was struck home with a minute remaining. Chalfont still had time to score a fourth goal, Alex Chaplin striking home from twenty yards.
