In horrendous conditions Hatherley produced their best display of the season to take their unbeaten run to 5 games in the
Bristol Combination U18’s .Hatherley played with the wind and rain at their backs in the first half and went ahead after 15 minutes when Rhoss Adams blocked a clearance which looped high over the Brockworth keepers head and into the net. They increased their lead 10 minutes later when Hanry Stanimeros played in Adams again who coolly slotted past the
advancing keeper. Brockworth started to come more into the game and created some chances themselves one of which was brilliantly stopped by the Hatherley keeper Miguel Arkell. Brockworth found themselves further behind however when a great free kick by Captain Louis Mullen was bent round their defensive wall and beyond the Brockworth keeper
Hatherley expected an onslaught from Brockworth after half time with the conditions deteriorating but actually scored a fourth goal which killed the game off. Henry Stanimeros who was having his most influential game so far cut inside and placed a well struck left footed shot into the bottom corner of the Brockworth net. Brockworth never stopped battling but could not find a way past the Hatherley defence and Adams finished a fantastic hat trick when he latched onto another
Stanimeros pass. Sub Joe Privett gave Hatherley more width when he came on in the 65th minute and rose well to head in Stanimeros’s right wing cross for the sixth goal. The game opened up more and more as the rain lashed down and a great run by Stanimeros saw his shot parried by the Brockworth keeper out to the advancing Mullen who crashed home Hatherleys 7th goal. There were some great Hatherley performances notably from Stanimeros, Matt Armitage, Duncan Harvey and Ryan Wiggett- Parker but Rhoss Adams took the Man of the Match for his first ever hat trick.
