Bristol Division 1

Bradley Stoke  0    Cribbs Friends Life FC  3

Sunday, 11 December 2011

Both teams started off really brightly, passing and moving and making this an exciting match to watch on a slightly sticky pitch. Unfortunately Cribbs had a player sent off midway through the first half, somewhat harshly was the opinion of the watching support. Both teams had chances to score but they were not taken. Late into the half Cribbs went 1 up with a well taken goal. The second half started with the weather getting worse which made the pitch really heavy and decent chances on goal difficult, both teams were trying but defending well. Both teams were giving their all and really working hard for each other. It was felt that Bradley Stoke were beginning to play the better football and were beginning to get on top but Cribbs defended really well and were frustrating Bradley Stoke. Both teams used their subs to best advantage and with Bradley Stoke getting frustrated at not being able to score. Late in the match Cribbs scored 2 more goals to take the result beyond Bradley Stoke. Bradley Stoke have been really short on luck this season, they’ve been working hard as a team but sometimes you need that little bit extra but confidence is high. Well done to both teams for making this entertaining to watch in what became difficult conditions in the weather and to the Referee for the decisions he made and for letting the game flow when he could. Special well done to Cribbs Friends Life for getting a result despite playing most of the match with ten men. Final result Bradley Stoke Youth 0 – 3 Cribbs Friends Life
Scorers – Joe Leslie, Liam Clayton, Ryan Stewart.
