Nettleham 0 Lincoln United Reserves 2
Saturday, 29 October 2011
After a quiet first half, Utd took the lead early in the second half, when ex Nettleham player James Stokes powered a low 30 yard freekick into the net, soon afterwards Nettleham keeper Mark Neave dived forward to cut out a low cross which he missed, the ball then rebounded off defender Gareth Symonds into his own goal, this deflated the Nettleham side and Utd easily played out the match. A sparse crowd boosted late on by the arrival of our Reserve team having won a Village Trophy quarter final.
