Heckington United 4 Market Rasen Town 0
Saturday, 22 October 2011
Following the mid week 4-2 away win at Lincoln Moorlands Res (Ewan Clarke bagging a good hat trick and another Glen Robinson strike) Heckington welcomed Market Rasen to Howell Road in the return fixture following last weeks 3-1 win at Rase Park.
The game took a while to settle with the only noticable event in the first 20 mins being a required substitution for the home side with Craig Wells having to go to hospital with a suspected broken wrist and Harry Kirwan being required to take the field.
Heckington opened the scoring on 27 mins. Luke Hollingworth sending the speedy Jason Bullock away to score past the advancing keeper.
3mins before half time they doubled their lead. Centre back Harry Kirwan staying up for a corner used some quick thinking to take a long throw for the left hand touchline and Glen Robinson flew in to convert (H/T 2-0)
With only 2 mins on the clock Heckington scored to make it 3-0 and game over. Clarke fed Hollingworth who finished clinically.
The fourth was not surprisingly scored by Clarke - his 6th in 3 games. Hollingworth rolled a free kick into Bullocks feet, he turned and drove across the box and Clarke finished.
Heckington visit Lincoln United res on Wed night at Ashby Avenue and then travel to Louth United next Saturday.
