A late Drew Mitten leveller was a blow to Desborough's title challenge as two points slipped through their grasp in a match which saw them utilise three players in goal.

Regular Michael Evans suffered an ankle injury after colliding with Vinny Shrieves after ten minutes, Michael Stanton donning the gloves.

The Swans went ahead on the half hour when James Fletcher converted a spot kick awarded for a foul on Rob Macdonald, but Michael Byrne hauled Ar Tarn on terms nine minutes later.

Desborough went in front seven minutes after the restart through Paul Caswell who capitalised after a defender misjudged Jamie Gilsenan's long ball but they an injury to Stanton saw Chris Logan become Ar Tarn's third keeper of the afternoon.

Desborough were pegged back by Mitten's 86th minute equaliser for Newport, the teenager converting Scott Mulkern's free kick.
