Bourne Town  0    Desborough Town  1

Saturday, 01 March 2008

Desborough completed an eight day double over the Wakes but found Bourne a tougher nut to crack than they had at the Waterworks Field a week earlier.

A single Michael Sneddon goal, a fierce left foot strike from a Michael Byrne pass after 48 minutes, proved enough to give Ar Tarn a vital victory which leaves them level on points with second placed Long Buckby.

Debutant Jack Whyley was close to a leveller for the Wakes.

Bourne: Aaron Bellairs, John Currall (Mark Walklin), Steve Hipkiss, Billy Sparks, Matt Holland, Jason Gough, Lewis Cook (Jack Whyley), Simon Barrick, Danny Barker, Ben Stainsby, Liam Palmer (Alex Harrison).

Desborough: Michael Evans, Michael Stanton, Chris Logan, Danny Pownall, Paul Malone, Tom Mills, Jamie O'Neill (Ben Armstrong), Michael Sneddon (Tony Page), Michael Byrne, Paul Caswell, Jamie Gilsenan (Stuart McClarty).
