Newport snatched a point with a last minute equaliser leaving Fords to reflect on three points which slipped through their grasp at the death. A 27th minute Ian Pearce goal had the Motormen in front at the interval and they doubled their lead two minutes into the second half, Ben Foster on target. Top scorer Vinny Shrieves put Newport back in the game after 63 minutes and right on time Peter Rowe equalised for the Swans.
