Stotfold  5    Long Buckby  0

Saturday, 24 September 2005

Stotfold found their goal touch to demolish struggling Long Buckby at Roker. Teenager Joe Philbin put the Eagles on the way to victory with an 18th minute opener from close range and three minutes later Jason Blackett added a second, converting the loose ball after Paul Warnecki parried a Wayne Mills free kick. Blackett was again on target after 50 minutes with a header at the far post from Ady Bascombe's cross before Buckby's Darren Harmon was red carded. Two late goals completed Stotfold's nap hand. Philbin scored his second after 85 minutes, turning the ball home after Warnecki saved a Jason Thomas shot, with Bascombe rounding off the scoring with a header from a Mills centre with two minutes remaining.
