Stewarts & Lloyds Corby  2    Woodford United  0

Saturday, 17 September 2005

FA Cup heroes Woodford came down to earth with a bump as their goals against tally was doubled in this surprise reverse at Occupation Road. Michael Byrne gave the S&L youngsters the lead after 31 minutes with a well taken free kick and a minute before the hour Sean Brennan's effort rounded off a move involving Michael Stanton and Byrne and sealed S&L's third league win of the campaign. Indeed Rob Clark's men could have had more goals but for some fine saves by Woodford keeper Matt Finlay.
