Wednesday, 07 September 2005

Two late goals gave Buckby a win which lifted them out of the bottom six. Justin McKenzie's 27th minute strike gave Buckby the interval lead, and they went further in front after 56 minutes when Courtney Francis, scorer of four goals in the reserves at the weekend, marked his senior call up with a stunning goal. The Shopmates fought back with Gavin Fitzgerald cutting the deficit after 75 minutes. Eight minutes from time Andy Brown levelled from the penalty spot for Raunds, but Buckby's response was an 86th minute goal from McKenzie. In the final minute Courtney made the points safe for the Bucks.
