Stewarts & Lloyds Corby  1    Yaxley  3

Tuesday, 06 September 2005

Experienced Cuckoos strike pair Dale Watkins and Mark Paul knew too much for their hosts as Yaxley moved up the table with a convincing away success. Watkins gave Yaxley the lead after 14 minutes with Paul adding a second six minutes before the interval. S&L keeper Richard Lavin was in fine form to prevent Yaxley adding to their tally and had a valuable ally in the frame of the goal. Paul's eighth goal of the season after 57 minutes sealed Yaxley's win while an improved second half display from S&L was rewarded with a Sean Brennan goal on the hour, with the woodwork denying Derek Simmons a second for the home side.
